The hands of Gustavo Brambila and my daughter Murphy. They met when she was a student at UC Davis in viticulture and enology.

Our MISSION

Too much wine is mass produced from industrially farmed grapes with no regard to the impact on wine consumers, the land, and the people making the wine.

We are Bobcat and Bean. We help wine lovers who don’t like mass-produced, poor quality wine and irresponsible farming and harvest techniques. Who are tired of expensive wine with no purpose. Wines that bore the living sh*t out of us.

This is access to a whole world of wine. Exclusive. Personal. Elevated.

ABOUT ME

I love wine, but didn’t always.

I learned about it by accident long ago.

Ice cold Lambrusco. Cold Duck on NYE. Horrible wedding wine.

First real wine I had was a Kendall Jackson Chardonnay.

Wow. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.

Later a pal told me if I liked wine from one place, I might also like other well made wines from the same place. Terroir.

This started the obsession. Thanks Dave.

Paul, my wonderful husband, a patient man of few words, loved that I loved to talk about wine, but didn’t want me talking to him about wine incessantly. In his wisdom, he gifted me with a membership to the American Sommelier Association in 2011 and I began my education in NYC in 2012. The rest is history.

The obsession grew.

After moving around the country and spending time in Sonoma County for seven years, having family and friends working in wine, I would see photos and think, “I wish I could do that…”

One day in 2024 I decided to stop wishing.

Thus Bobcat and Bean was born.
